This is a confronting and most rewarding two day workshop where we aim to have equal numbers of participants from the Principal and the Contractor (or Consultancy)—participants from both sides of the contract. We work through contract management and project management fundamentals and scenarios together while always observing and interacting with the ‘real’ other side.
This learning is all about the 'real' discussions, interactions and negotiations, and reflecting on everyone’s responses.
Objectives
- Developing participants’ mediation skills through facilitated exercises with real-life opposing views.
- Understanding the contract from the other side.
- Developing the participants’ competencies in contract and project management via the direct exchange of views between participants from both sides of the contract.
- Allowing the participants to understand what it really feels like to place themselves in the other party’s shoes.
- Understanding the other side of the contract.
- Understanding the other side’s ‘hot buttons’.
- ...and to enjoy the two days.
